 DNP 840 Describe your leadership style based on the leadership assessment

A leader that has inspired me the most is my current boss. She displays the servant and transformational leadership style.  Servant leaders act beyond self-interest and focus on the needs of their subordinates (Otto et al., 2021). The transformational leadership style is one that gives their subordinates a higher sense of purpose by inspiring them and positively influencing their beliefs and values (Otto et al., 2021). My boss consistently exhibits these traits. For instance, she always asks what my goals are and empowers me to achieve them. She empowers me by being supportive and being willing to help remove barriers that would prevent me from reaching goals. Furthermore, she welcomes creativity and innovation. This makes me feel valued as I am encouraged to share new ideas. Lastly, she always demonstrates integrity and holds herself and staff accountable. I can appreciate consistencies in these behaviors as it has fostered a trusting relationship.
